have to use mine on days my allergies are acting up (which has been a LOT lately!) i like it but its slow. . .

I use it on my Janome, but I have to wiggle it a little for it to work...but it does it, and I am so thankful for not having to take stabs at that tiny hole!!

I use mine all the time. I can't see the eye to thread it. I was having trouble at first too. I was pulling the thread too high. Try going low into the threader. (And don't pull the thread, like I was. You just un-thread it.)LOL

Funny that question should come up today. I just brought my Bernina back from the sewing center, for it's annual check up. I told them I wanted to see how the automatic threader works on my sewing machine. Two of the gals working there, went over that, had no luck, but one got her finger in the way, may have bent it. The repairman said he tested that 10 times, during the repair. I believe he did, but some part isn't lining up or is bent, so next service call, I will get the newer version installed. I can see that it really takes some practice.

Love it, use it all the time - wish all my machines had this feature (hmmm.... wonder if there's an attachment out there that would allow us to adapt our machines ourselves, or have our "machine doctor" do it?) Any thoughts ladies?
Forgot to mention: Keep practicing. I had trouble at first, but its worth the frustration - works every time now. I was doing exactly what you're doing. Don't know what happened, all of a sudden one day everything just clicked.

Couldn't sew without it, especially as my eyes get worse.

I have 3 machines with auto threader and I have one that does not, guess which one never gets used anymore.

The one thing I have learned is that you have to let go of the threader very quickly. Hope this helps.

Mine works great. I love it.

Make sure the needle is installed correctly. If it isn't all the way up into the shank the threader won't hit the eye of the needle.

I use mine all the time. Loved the one on my Bernina 180E, so I took my Bernina 150 QE into the shop to have one installed. Had a little trouble at first, but finally got the hang of it.
Make sure the needle position is up all the way on your machine when you get ready to thread your machine. Everything has to line up just right.
