My gf of 40+ yrs is a breast cancer survivor. I am making her a lap quilt to celebrate. Besides "pink ribbon" fabric, I found fabrics that have meaning to our friendship over the years. Back in June, I was within about 1 - 1 1/2 hours of finishing the machine work on it....it will be part machine quilted, part hand quilted. Wouldn't you know...I broke my arm!!! So...no sewing for a couple of months. :( Now that the arm is healed, and we are about done with harvest, I am looking forward to getting it finished and sent off to her. I'll post pix when it is done.

Was it a surprise? The quilt, I mean, not the broken arm. I'm sure you didn't plan that

HAHAHA You're right..the broken arm was definitely not planned!!! And the quilt is a surprise...she doesn't know about it at all. Probably a good thing as she won't know I am late getting it finished!!!
