Can someone explain what patterns mean when they say baby blocks? Are these just squares or what?

Baby Blocks is a pattern. It is three sixty degree diamonds set together with a light, dark, and medium fabric. It looks like a cube and when you put them together give an optical illusion of cubes stacked. Wish I had a picture.
