Baby clothes

A gal at work has asked me to make a wall hanging/quilt from her little girls dresses and tutus and what ever else, from her daughters first year.
I have no idea what to use for a pattern. I want it to look cute and will probably do something like make the tutu stick out of the quilt and maybe do applique of her favorite little onsie..
Any ideas or thought on this would be most appreciated!!
Any pictures of what others have done would a huge help!

Applique the outfits onto blocks, sash or just put blocks together. The clothes are the ( design) anything ( extra) would take away from the cute clothes.

One of my daughters made a quilt resembling a clotheline with baby clothes hanging from it. I cant remember the background and I dont have a picture but I may have seen similar on Pinterest.
