Baby Lock Jane Threading Question
To thread the BL Jane, the thread comes off the spool holder and then it goes through a bar that has 3 threading holes before the thread goes around the tensioner. I always use the first and the third holes on the bar when sewing.
What is the purpose of the middle hole on the bar and when would I use it? Those who own a Brother 1500 have the same threading system, I believe. So you might know the answer to my question too. |
Hi,
When I'm working with polyester threads, particularly some of the decorative ones or the very fine oneslike Superior's Bottom Line (60 wt. poly), or Wonderfil's Invisifil (100 wt. poly) then I thread the thread through all three holes. It really helps to manage some of the more unruly threads. Rob |
Thanks, Rob. Good to know.

Do you have the manual for your machine?
Check page 15 as it has the descriptions and pics of the threading diagrams. PS: You can download manuals from the BL site in case you don't have one. I keep them on computer for quick reference. Good luck! |
Thanks, Rhonda. Good to know.

I read my manuals every so often.
I use the third hole when I use nylon thread. |
