Baby Lock Jazz Now Residing in My Sewing Room
 

I made the decision after reading reviews, talking with others and test driving it. It is a simple machine and seems like it will do everything I need it to do (with the exception of making my morning coffee :D). DH just took it out of the box and set it up for me in my sewing room. Will be giving it a good test run on Monday. I am excited again about quilting. I've been "the queen of tops" for so long now. Hopefully I will now be able to finish my quilts.

Thanks to all the QB members who helped me with my decision to get a new machine.

Congratulations on your new machine. I've never tried a Babylock as I'm a Janome girl....but I hope it's everything you want and need it to be!! Enjoy.

Thanks again, everyone! Gave it a good test run yesterday and so far I really like it. I have to get used to the speed being in the foot pedal - DH says I have a lead foot when I drive. Yup, I have one when I sew, too! Gotta learn to slow down. Going to "play around" with the different feet and stitches today. I especially want to use the blanket stitch as I am planning a SBS quilt in the near future.

Congratulations, I tested the Jazz and really liked it!
To slow yourself down, put a small block or piece of foam between the petal and the bottom piece if you can. I can't remember what the petal looks like.

I'm thinking of buying one as well. So far are you still happy with it?
