I was wondering how big would you make a pillow for a baby? I want to make a matching pillow to go with the crib blanket I made.

Jeanette,

For safety reasons babies aren't suppose to have pillows in their crib. Could you maybe make a pillow to go on a rocking chair in the room? Or maybe a matching wall-hanging to go over the crib?

You could make a birth annoucement pillow. It's kind of like a quilt lable, but with the baby's info on it. ( birthdate, birth weight, time of birth ect....) then it is a keepsake for the parents. Just a thought............ Pam W. :) :)

The other thought would be to make it a toddler pillow. As most toddlers sleep in toddler beds your crib blanket will be used when they're that size. The size for a toddler is called a boudoir, which is 12x16".

Just be sure to tell them it's just to look pretty until their little one is older. After all we buy crib sets all the time and you're not supposed to have blankets or stuffed animals in the crib either.
