I am looking for an easy but elegant looking baby quilt pattern. I want it to be easy but yet look like a pro did it and I am just a beginner. Did get my offset square pinwheel quilt top done and it is really pretty. Now need a baby quilt by end of December.
Thanks, Evelyn |

Guess I have to put my 2 cents worth in. Warm Wishes is my favorite quick, great looking baby quilt.
The pattern is here http://www.quiltmaker.com/patterns/d...html?idx=5185_ |

Are you up to attempting curves. I think they are easier than triangle points!
This is elegant to me. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-118544-1.htm Sorry for the double picture. Both these patterns are easy- peezy and chooing the right colors will make them elegant. If you float the stars in the background you don't have to worry so much about cutting off the points. You can fudge it and it won't show as much. Hope the pics' help a little! Good luck and keep us posted! The design not the fabric Snowball Irish Chain |
Warm Wishes is easy or a rag quilt made of 6 or 8 inch squares.

Once again I would have to vote for the 10 minute block. the one below took only a few hours. My sister started it at 5pm and entered it into the fair the next day. It won a blue ribbon.

Last rag quilt I made of 4 or 5, ruined the motor on my washer. I guess laundromat if I do one of those again.
Thanks for your response. Evelyn |

I've done three baby quilts so far. All of them are easy as I'm a beginner myself
this was the hardest of the three, but I did this one in a weekend as it was for a co worker who was leaving on maternity leave this is for my hope chest, it's four patches and 2 rails I call this one sticks and stones I made this one from a jelly roll, I had the borders already, but it's also for my hope chest and I love how the purple tie dye fleece makes it look a little stormy with a bright center |
