Babyloc crown jewel

I am new to the forum but have been reading it for some time now. I am looking at purchasing a demo babyloc longarm with a pearl frame from a dealer. Has about 60 hours on it with one main user. They say it has been on their floor for about 2 years. They are asking $9000.00 cdn dollars.. I have not been able to find a comparison. Is that a lot of hours and is the price fair? Any input would be appreciated

What is the harp size of the machine?

I would ask if Babyloc is the machine manufacturer. I'm pretty sure that TinLizzie makes that machine. Often the local service people are not familiar with these rebranded machines, however, if they have had it for 2 years sounds like they are. If there is a computer with it, and they give you a warranty and in home set up, the price might be OK. For that amount of money you can get a machine & frame (no computer) from a company that exclusively makes long arms and may provide better support.

I don't know how the Cdn dollar compares to the US dollar. But for $9,000 you can buy a brand new HQ Avante, which is made by the same people, but has better quality parts and upgrades. 60 hours is very little time for a longarm.

The harp size is 18 inches and they offer a full warranty. No computer at this price. The $9000.00 cdn dollars converts to $7200.00 US dollars. Appreciate the advice.

Thanks

I would encourage you to try other machines as comparison. Buying one of these expensive machines is like buying a car. You have to test drive a few models to know which one you will be comfortable using. Good Luck.

Handiquilter makes the Babyloc LA. They are the same machine but the Babyloc comes with a higher price tag. Go figure.

Tin Lizzie makes the Janome LA.

OOPS, sorry. Well, anyway, I would prefer buying a machine from the actual manufacturer!
