I suggest a paler yellow Batik.

I like the cream one also, the yellow is too bright for batiks

Ditto! But I think it all depends on how much of the background color will be used in each block....or how it will be used.

The cream will showcase all the colors. I think the yellow will over power the lighter colors; although, the yellow makes the blues pop

ok, so shoot me-- i would go with a green. if this is for a child, go with the yellow. for an adult, go with the cream. for me, go with a green. enjoy!!

I like the yellow.

The tan will allow the true colors of the other batiks to be enjoyed to their fullest, the yellow will actually ADJUST the colors it is place next to especially since it is so strong. (I am quoting a little known design principle that I used for years when selecting colors for my clients.)

I kinda depends what you are wanting from the final outcome of your quilt. I love the yellow, because I like the bright colors especially in childrens rooms and I also like the subdued color of the tan in certain areas. Keep us posted when you decide. :)

If you LOVE yellow then go with it, otherwise cream will not be so overpowering. Batiks are beautiful!
