Bad Sunbonnet Sue
 

I don't typically do handwork but lately I've been getting the urge to make some Bad Sues, I think my hands and eyes can still handle that level of skill. We all know the cute 30s Sue, but I've seen before where people make Bad Sues.

Last night I was prepping a bag of fabric I got at the Goodwill and there was a perfect piece of grey and white stripe for a Prison Sue. I've got a little scrap of Camo for Hunting Sue, and ideas for a few others.

Usually I make bed quilts, these might not ever get past block stage or most likely a wall hanging for my sewing room (hmm... maybe I should have Fabric Hoarder Sue...).

Any of you have any experience with Bad Sues?

No experience but I sure did get a kick out of the Kill Sue quilt blocks that were quite popular several years back. Some people came up with some ingenious ways to cause Sue's demise. They were hilarious.

I though the quilt was hilarious but I guess some people were outraged. At one quilt show they even had to hang it facing the wall.:D

How about Biker Sue... Goth Sue?

I've never been a SBS fan, but I loved the Kill Sue quilts. I thought they were hysterical

There was a thread a while back on the QB that featured some really cute bad sues. I also saw a cute bad sue video somewhere. I have no idea who did it. Just stumbled across it and thought it was funny. Good luck on your quest for ideas.

This is hilarious. I wish I'd thought of it myself, lol... I am not the biggest fan of traditional Sue quilts.
My brain goes to SyFy and comics... Cersei Lannister (Game of Thrones), Harley Quinn (DC Comics). Otherwise punk, goth, catburgler, axe murderer?

and a wild thought... a skeleton sue because she's b-b-b bad to the bone!

LOL, I like your idea Nan, I may even have a piece of fabric with a large Mexican sugar skull design big enough to put a ruffle on for her head. Or maybe it's a good excuse to buy a piece of fabric with sugar skulls :p

Biker Sue with a helmet would be awesome.
