Balancing Act Pattern

1 Attachment(s)
I have been searching for the Balancing Act pattern from All People Quilt in April 2009. I can see it online, but there is no pattern attached and it does not appear to be archived. Does anyone have any idea how I can get a copy of this pattern? I understand that it may be under copyright, but there does not appear to be anywhere I can send an inquiry. Every time we go into Fabric Hut in Norfolk, my DD says how much she loves this quilt. I would like to be able to make it for her, but my skills do not go so far as to figure it out from the photo. Any suggestions would be welcome. I am attaching a photo, so you will know which quilt I am writing about. Thanks!

I am making a quilt similar to that and I am using a creative grid triangle ruler for the triangles and the pieces that go around the triangle. The pattern I am using is Chopsticks. You could eliminate the opposite block and just use the one triangle block.

Really cute pattern, I enjoyed looking at the site.

Why not just purchase the April 2009 issue of American Patchwork & Quilting in which it first appeared? Since BH&G doesn't seem to have any (they don't appear to sell their own magazines online, but you could call 800-677-4876 or email [email protected] to ask), I'm sure someone on eBay does.

Thank you all for your helpful replies. I checked on ebay and there is one for sale, so that's the route I think I'll be taking. Don't know why I didn't think of it myself, but sometimes there's just someone with a better idea! Thanks so much . . . my DD will be happy when I can find time to make it! :)

Oh my gosh, when I read your post I got all excited! I've just recently moved to Norfolk and love Fabric Hut! And the best part it's not that far from where I live, or maybe that's not so good!

And I thought I was going to see a quilt with kids on one side and career with bills on the other. LOL
Very pretty quilt though, I can see why you want to do one like this.

Trying to figure out why you need to buy anything. The links above are the entire pattern for free.

For whatever reason I keep getting an error when I try to register.

Did you ever find the pattern? I'm contemplating starting a variation of this pattern and wanted to see if it was an easy one to do?
