I am in love with this BOM! http://www.honeybeefabrics.com/store...uct=BaltHallow But the pattern is umm can you say pricey? This is the cheapest I could find it and its still about $78 just for the pattern. Many places are sold out or back ordered. Is anyone here doing this one?

I've wanted to do that...but the price is too rich for me right now. That's why I haven't bought it either. It is darling though!

Ummmmmm, $78 for a pattern?!! You've got to be kidding me! And I was moaning about the $12 one I bought the other day! I understand it takes time and imagination for people to come up with patterns, and I think the average $10 cost is fair to charge, but nearly eighty dollars is ridiculous. But I suppose it's their pattern and they have the right to charge whatever they want.

It is adorable and I would love to try it out but I couldn't justify spending that for a pattern. I might try and come up with something similar to it on my own though. I've been thinking about a Fall/Halloween quilt lately. Gotta start early!

That is a terrific looking quilt. But the cost of pattern is high, it comes out to $6 amonth for 13 months. the monthly block kits aren't priced too bad. Maybe if they up the kit cost $6 and include the pattern. This would be a great guild/group project. Right now too rich for me.

That sure is beautiful, but so expensive!

Not doing this one, but it sure is cute!

That's absolutely gorgeous. But not $70+ gorgeous!

I saw it in lots of quilt shops last year and had no problem resisting at the price. I would have bought it at as much as $20, but it's too rich for me!

This is a machine embroidery design set....the term "pattern" is a bit misleading.........the kit contains the actual stitch designs for machine embroidery for each of the "blocks" shown.....Most well-digitized design sets with this many different designs sell for over $100.....no one said machine embroidery was an inexpensive hobby.........

loves2quilt 02-18-2010 07:11 PM

Actually is isnt embroidery, it is applique...heres another link to the BOM which includes the fabric http://www.honeybeefabrics.com/store...duct=BALHALLBM

My Bad - I saw the reference to the embroidery in the text, and while I saw some applique - believed the cost was the result of the embroidery designs that were included.

I agree. I would gladly give more than average for a pattern like this, but not THAT much more than average. Gotta love capitalism. :)

Yesterday I got my new Keepsake Quilting catalog and they are offering it as a BOM. The kit is $22.95 a month and that includes the pattern which they send to you monthly with the kit. The first moth is $39.95 but you get all fabrics for the background, border and binding. The catalog states $22.95 amonth

I think this way is not as bitter of pill to sallow. If I was working I would sign up, it is beautiful.

Have a great day everyone.

found it http://www.keepsakequilting.com/productdetail/5030.htm

the only thing it is backordered unitl 3/11/10
