Barbara Brackman Encyclopedia

Does anyone here have a copy of Barbara Brackman's Quilt Block Encyclopedia. I am thinking of buying one as the names and history of quilt blocks fascinates me. What do you think of it? Do you refer to it often? What did you pay for it?

Have it, love it, won't even think of selling it. It is a real classic. And to think I got it online. Not sure if Amazon, EBay, or one of the used book sites. Sorry. I do remember that I shopped around online before I ordered it.

I bought one many years ago, before the price skyrocketed. Not sure where I bought it, but I know it wasn't online, but in person at a LQS or quilt show. Use it all the time. And no, you can't have it, lol! That's one book I'll have 'till I die. (There are several others...) There is also "Blockbase", which has Barbara's blocks in it, too. It's software for use with EQ, but it doesn't have all the blocks in the book. I have both, and I still use the book.

Fantastic, ladies, thank you. That's what I wanted to know. Your copies are quite safe ... I promise I won't sneak in in the middle of the night and steal yours away. I can order it through my local book shop but before I invest so much (pretty pricey!!) I'm checking to see if it would be a good investment.
