I bought some cotton interlining today, the sort to sandwich between curtain fabric and lining. It was so soft and much more substantial than the regular quilting batting and only £4.00 per metre. Is this really suitable for use in quiltmaking? Many thanks

Is it washable? Not all curtain materials are. How is it for needling? Sew up a sample and see how it does, then wash it and dry it, and if you like the results, then good for you, you've got a nice find.

I think so as it said there is 3 to 4% shrinkage..I will try it first as you say, better safe than sorry thanks

I agree, sew up a little topper or doll quilt and wash and dry it a few times :D:D:D

Will do..thanks again

Be sure to report back on the outcome. We would love to know.:)

It has almost the same shrinkage as the warm n natural we all use here. I dont see why it cant be used. I would make sure you quilt it up, with more density then normal to see how it holds up to the washings.

Will do as soon as I wash it a couple of times..

Ive used warm natural on baby quilts but this is thicker so I'm hoping for the best..thanks
