How beautiful Lori!! WOW

Try Eleanor Burns Quick Trip Quilts. They look like Bargello and use fat quarters but the technique is a little different.

If you have ever seen the pattern twisted bargello I did that quilt with primarily fat 1/4's. The fabrics that were full width I cut in half to make all the strips sets the same lenght. See photo |

Wendy, I can't wait to see pics of your bargello!

Lori S your bargello quilt is beautiful.
Wendys quilts, I have found there are several ways to come to the same end, some easier and/or faster than others. Give your idea a whirl and see how it works for you. There is no right or wrong way to do any quilts. |
THanks everyone for your comment :)
Lynn, I have finished the Bargello. I just need to tie it now. I will work on it this weekend and I WILL post a picture of it. My husband really likes it. PCHP, thanks for the tip. I have look up her books and really would liket to get one! |
My sister just made a baby bargello from 4 1/2 inch strips of pastel batiks. Went up quickly and is beautiful.

I am curious, how many fat quarters would I need to do a bargello quilt? I am not looking to do a large quilt. Lap quilt size is what I want. I have never made one of these and I want to attempt one. I have some fat quarters to use ...Anyone make a Bargello with just fat quarters...is what I am asking hahahaha...sorry for the rambling
