Hey neighbor, I am about 35 miles from Lexington. Did have a quilt design on my barn, it faded a little so I had it taken down. I did put one on my machine shed. It's a shoo fly. I see a lot of them in Menifee and Bath Co.

I also live eastern Kentucky and we have lots of barns with painted quilts. Do a search for "Quilted Barns in Kentucky" and you can read the history.
I hope you find this very interesting.

Nice, indeed! I am thinking of putting one on my shed, seeing as I have no barn. Mmmmmmm

Sewing with Nancy did a segment on these in the WI area. It is my understanding that there is a trail to follow in a lot of states. I'm going to do some web searching.

Also, Stitchin' Heaven in Quitman, TX is a terrific store. They also do a lot of trips and one this year is to Amish coundtry inIndianaand the trail will be of QUilt ZBlock gardens. They are fantastic. Check out their website to see some pictures. I was thinking of designing one for front yard. Less grass to cut!!!
