A friend, who is a member of a local tribe and enjoys traditional basket making, gave me images of local basketry patterns, which I am converting to quilting patterns. Some of the names are delightful, such as "grizzly, his paw" and "frog fingers". Are any of you doing cross media design work?

I am drafting some Fretwork/scroll saw patterns into quilts!
|
DH had a good laugh about 3 years ago when I went into Harbor Freightafter him one hot summer day and bought 2 scrollsaw pattern books. The pattern make really great quilt block patterns. One set were intended for puzzle patterns for very small kids. as scrappy applique patterns, they are very nice too.
