I just found this basket at an antique store in Indiana yesterday. It was sitting on top of a big old bookcase and calling my name to take it home, so I did.

It has a latch on it and opens up, so cool.

What an awesome find! I will carry it to the quilt guild meetings also.

Also have you seen the Redmon baskets that were made in Peru, Indiana years ago, they are hard to find. Here is a picture of 2 of mine, nice to store fabrics or projects inside of them.

Thanks SulaBug! Yes it is so cool and will carry it to guild meeting Monday night to take my pincushion that I made from hexagons for show and tell.

Nice basket. Love the double 'doors'.

Craftybear, I have the twin to your bottom red one. Bought it at an antique store for $5.50. It is in perfect condition. We use it as our picnic basket.

What a great find. It looks like it has lots of space.

Hi,

Yes the redmon baskets looks like the ones that I posted in the picture and usually on the inside it says Redmon. I found another one at an antique store yesterday but didn't buy it will go back later and buy it as they are hard to find.

Will have to save $ as hubby has been unemployed since July 2009.

Yes, they hold lots of stuff and very sturdy. I have found some at second hand stores for $2.00 and boy did I grab and hold on to it. As they didn't know what they were giving away. I held on to it as I didn't put it in shopping basket, was afraid someone would take it out of my basket, ha ha

Oh, cool basket and what a great idea! Thanks for sharing!

I use baskets, plastic storage bins, wire baskets (such as freezer baskets) and wooden baskets. I'm a firm believer in storage containers or all sorts.
