Do any of the basting sprays work with poly batting?

Can you hand quilt if you use the spray?

I use poly batting all the time and have not had any problems with the basting spray. I still use a few pins probably 8-10 inches apart but I really don't know if I need them or not (just me and my insecurity I guess LOL). I've also hand-quilted after using the spray and I don't have a problem-no gummy needle, needle goes through easily, etc. Hopes this helps-this is just my experience, others may have different comments.

Thanks for responding-maybe I'll try a small sample and see how it goes.

I've used the spray with warm & natural and machine quilted and that worked pretty well, but I like to hand quilt, too.

My first attempt at spray basting was with the Sulky, with poly batting. Didn't hold AT ALL. Next time I'll try W&N.

I had to spray the poly batting and the backing and the quilt top to get it to adhere. Not so with the cotton battings... I always pin around the edges too, as all of the handling it seems to want to come loose there.
If it doesn't gum up my machines needles, I wouldn't think it would the quilting needles either. :D:D:D

It seems I have to spray more with poly but it does work. I like the fact it doesn't gum up my needle.
