Hi Everyone!

I am wanting to do another quilt for our bed. Is there a batting I can use that will help regulate the temp better? Would wool be best for this? Being in Arizona, I'd like to make a blanket we can use year round. What about weight? I LOVE a heavy blanket, but not the bulk of one. One last question...where is the best place to get batting maybe even in bulk?

 , I didn't intend to ask such a loaded question!

Thanks for your help!

Living in Phoenix, there just is not batting cool enough for yr round.
I buy at Joanns and use the 80/20 cotton poly blend.
What part of AZ are you in?

I'm in the West Phoenix, near Wickenburg.

I use warm and natural in my quilts and use the quilt year around. In the summer it keeps me fairly cool and in the winter it is warm. I buy it at Joann's with my 40% off coupon. As it usually runs $10.00 a yd and is 90"wide. Marge

I live on the west side of Phoenix in the Avondale area.
Have you ever visited the 35th Ave Sew and Vac. Its on 35th ave and Northern. If not, it is worth the trip to see all the fabrics they have.

No, I haven't. Thank you for letting me know. I've been to our local quilt store (she has great prices) and to one in Sun City (they have ridiculous prices). I haven't bought any fabric since before Christmas. With the way the economy is going, I'm trying to use what I have...but I need batting to complete a few projects. :?

I always buy my batting in bulk from www.okleequilting.com , an online store in MN. It's the best price I've ever seen. They have a variety of weights. The huge roll I bought about 2 years ago is still doin' me fine. Sara

35th ave is not cheap but they sure have a hugh selection and a friendly staff. They even have a complete line of quilting machines and tables, which I cannot afford but it is nice to see them and have someone show you how they work.
