our local store only had 2 rolls. my friend got one. It is thin, but it is smooth, not fluffy like most poly batting. I would use it since I do a lot of charity quilts and buy my own batting and fabric.

It was so thin I thought I would be tempted to use two layers - which makes the price not so attractive. I would say it's even thinner than just putting a flannel sheet inside a quilt.

I personally only use cotton batting....prefer Warm and Natural

I normally don't like the poly but did buy one roll of the door buster one yesterday. I actually liked the fact that it felt firmer and was thinner than normal poly batting. I make a ton of QFKs quilts and I'm hoping that I like this batting for that. I also went today and bought a roll of the cotton on door buster today. It doesn't seem as nice as Warm and Natural which is my normal batting, but I'm hoping that it works for my charity quilts. The price was nice!! My Joann's only got 2 of each - I think that was the normal amount any store got from what I've heard. I was there yesterday afternoon and they had 1 poly left (must have been meant to be). I was the first one in the door this morning. First they told me that had received none of the cotton batting. When I told them that I was there yesterday and was told that they had 2, they found 1 - never could "find" the other one and there was no one in the store except me. Hummmmmmmm

I never use poly on anything but a wall hanging I had it wick through on a king sized paper pieced quilt that had taken a year to complete , it was expensive batting as soft as can be and it came through on the black sashing .Never again now it is cotton only.

I went and checked it out also but I didn't like how thin it was or the feel of it. I'll stick with my tried and true 80/20 Hobbs.

I bought a roll of the door buster batting at Joanne's. I make a lot of charity quilts, usually 45 to 50 inches wide so I thought this would make the sandwiching a bit easier. it did. the batting does seem a bit thin. Haven't actually quilted any yet. Most times I use a coupon at Michaels for a queen or king sized batt. Can't figure out which way is cheaper.

I don't use poly at all. I guess its a matter of preference.
