I recently found a site on line that has Quilter's Dream Batting at an affordable price in "bulk"... i've always wanted to do this because running around to stores with coupons and watching for sales can take as much time as actually making a quilt... LOL
I have a large stash and staying out of the stores makes me concentrate more on using what i have (make sense??)... So i'm looking for reviews of this batting... there is a 1/16" thickness and a 1/8"... which is better..
I use a Janome 1600P (about 10" throat) machine on the Grace Pinnacle frame.. and Superior Thread...Thanks in advance for any input!!!

i've used it from a package 1/8" and liked it quite well

i LOVE quilters Dream batting!
it is a dream to use- they put out a number of different batts though=
they have dream cotton, dream poly, dream wool (my favorite) dream green - a recycled batting that is green- is like using a sheet of fleece for a batt-
dream orient- which is a silk/bamboo blend.
it all depends on the quilting you do-
as for the loft (thickness) i would certainly go for the 1/8"===1/16" seems so....nothing there- might be good for clothing- things you don't want to feel like it has batting-
but that may be a good choice if you are hand quilting- also- you need to check on the quilting recommendations- for the batt you are considering- some batts need to be quilted every 2" (which is a very dense quilting) where some allows up to 10" between quilting lines- which gives you much more options when choosing quilting designs.
so you need to find out the fiber content- the quilting recommendations- and the recommendations for usage of the batting before investing in a whole bolt of batting.

What a great setup!!! With that you could do a nice puffy batting. I've been stuffing 72" through my Janome 3160QDC. Don't be afraid of 1/8-1/4"!

I'd love to know the supplier if you wouldn't mind sharing. If been researching the same thing all week.

I would like to know, too. :)

I haven't tried Quilter's Dream - I usually use Hobb's Heirloom - anyone know how those two compare with each other?

I have ordered in bulk from wholesalequilt batting on several occasions, as I need lots of quality batting at a lower price for Project Linus. I have always been pleased with the products, and the customer service is outstanding.

Quilters Dream batting is awesome! I do like it much better than Hobbs.
