Has anyone used Dream Cotton Batting? Just want opinions on your favorite battings. What do you use, likes and dislikes.

I am using a Fairfield 80-20 cotton poly blend right now. It is behaving very well. I also like the new bamboo blends, they feel very silky, luxurious.

I have heard Dream (Request weight, I think) is great for hand quilting.
I mostly machine quilt, and my favorite batting is Mountain Mist Blue Ribbon 100% cotton batting. This batting gets softer and softer over the years, until finally it feels like you are hugging a cloud. It also drapes beautifully and gives the soft, crinkled look that antique quilts have. I have also used Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 and liked it. It has a little more loft than the MM Blue Ribbon and does not crinkle as much, for those who like a more modern look. |
My favorite is Quilter's Dream Cotton Batting - hands down.

I always use Warm and Natural. I buy by the 40 yd bolt and have it shipped to the house.

How much are the shipping charges if you don't mind my asking. Seems like the shipping would be high. |
This is hard for me to answer, it all depends on the quilt I am making. I like the Warm and Natural for my Vintage look quilts because it has a shrinkage like nobodies business!  (I never prewash anything)
The quilt that I made for our bedroom I am using a high loft poly fiber batting because my wife loves the "Comforter" look. And babies quilts I use the Poly fiber but low loft. I guess its what ever the effect I am going for.... Billy |
I like Dream Cotton, but prefer Dream Wool. It has great loft.
