Batting question

Hi all -

Quick question on batting. I've always used Hobbs 80/20, as I found it to be reasonably priced, and not heavy. I like the cotton :)

I know some like dream quilter batting etc, but my specific question is has anyone used Pellon Natures Touch? I found some online at Walmart of all places. It's 80/20 with scrim, 120", $127 for 30 yards!

Just curious if anyone has used it and how they felt it compared to other brands.

(ps: I'm just using these on practice quilts for now, but with 30 yds they may end up being used in quilts I plan on keeping for the spare bedroom, etc).

Thanks in advance for advice and comments!
Chris

I found a bolt of Nature's Touch for a good price at Tuesday Morning and took a chance on it. I like it a little better than Warm and Natural. I plan on getting another bolt when this one is gone. Haven't used Hobbs.

I have used the 80/20 Hobbs batting and I like the quality so why change?? Bought a 120" wide roll on eBay for what the wholesale price is with free shipping.

I have purchased the Pellon Natures Touch from Walmart and like it---great for the price. I am using it now. I think it is slightly thinner than W&N or Hobbs, but even and have not found any uneven thin spots.

I bought a bolt of the Natural Touch batting at Tuesday Morning store. I went back and bought the last three bolts. I like it as much as Hobbs and Quilter's Dream. I haven't seen it back in the store. I have access to a lot of TM stores in within an hour from me and all of them have different quilting items at different times.

I've used Nature's Touch on lots of quilts. I haven't had any trouble quilting it and it drapes nicely.

Do your Tuesday Morning stores have the fat quarter bundles? I got a couple of really nice ones from Westminster fabrics with 30 FQ but I haven't seen any more lately. I do pick up the 5 FQ bundles occasionally. Just wondering how my store compares with others. I keep looking for more Natures Touch but haven't seen it either.

The only issue I had with Natures Touch is that it was very linty - shed lint much more than other battings.

The TM stores here have lots of fat quarter bundles and recently some quilt kits too.

I bought a roll of Pelion Quilters Touch polyester batting at WM and am very pleased with it. I had been using W&N
or Hobbs but find I like the poly, great price also.

my guild used Pellon (Legacy I think) bat for charity quilts and I hated it on the long arm because of it being VERY linty compared to Hobbs or Warm & Natural.

Has anyone tried the washable wool batting from Connecting Threads? I was wondering how it did after washing.
