What kind of batting do you use in a wallhanging? Do you use the same as in a regular quilt?

I have used regular flannel for wallhangings and table runners. I have also heard of diaper flannel, but never tried it. My Mom uses really thin batting for her wallhangings but I am not sure what it is.

I use warm and natural, and it is wonderful for wall hangings. I will use flannel only on a quilt that doesn't need any body.

I made the mistake of using flannel once for a Rag quilt the ladies at the LQS recommended I do it. Boy did my blanket come out thin Cant redo the quilt it was quilt as you go would have to throw the whole quilt out

I use the same as my quilts. Works fine for me.

Thin poly works really well in wall hangings since it doesn't have the fold memory that cotton has.

I use warm and natural for everything.

Hmm.. looks like I may change to thin poly for wall hangings and table runners as the "fold memory" concerns me a bit.. I guess I will press the wallhanging before I hang it..
