At walmart yesterday I found batting similar to W&N. It was less expensive and the fiber content was some different the polyester(?) was a little less. Has anyone used this product? Is it ok?
|
I have not tried it, our Wal-Mart no longer carries batting and things. I would try one and see if you like it.
|
I've used it in table runners. It seemed OK.
|
I just finished using it for a quilt. I really liked it. Easy to sandwich, easy to machine quilt, and it washed beautifully.
|
thank you all. I did buy it then I started having questions if I did the right thing......you know how that is! Sounds like I did!!

I noticed it a couple of months ago. It's produced by Pellon, so it should be good. VERY closely resembles W&N, both unbleached & bleached.
I'm getting ready to try out Thermore for a hand quilting project that will probably take the entire winter - my Dear Jane. Thermore is paper thin polyester batting. I've never seen anything like it. Should be great to quilt on. |
I have used their cotton batting on the bolt, and have not had any problems with it.
It was great to work with too :D:D:D |
I bought a package of this batting for my last project and loved the way it cut and handled. I definitely plan to use it again.

I tried it about 3 years ago and I didn't have a problem with it. My Walmart doesn't sell fabric anymore.
|
I ordered my Thermore from Connecting Threads - their batting is 30% off right now.
