Batting scrap tip

Take a couple of scraps and lay them on top of each other. Put your hand down on top( scraps need to big enough for whole hand) trace loosely around your hand with a pencil or similar in a mitten shape and take them to your machine. Stitch on the mitten shape line and cut off the extra. You now have a dusting hand mitten!

I made dusting rags to fit my swifter a few years ago. Not sure what site/instructions I used but this one looks good. I made mine out of just scraps of flannel & they work really well.

Dusting?!? This comes under the heading of “cleaning “. I think I’m allergic to that kind of activity. It makes me sweat, it hurts and makes me tired real quick. Gave the grandson the swifter. Told him to wipe around stuff. He pushed a dish full of buttons off the piano crashing on the floor. Nothing broken. I told him to keep on swinging it around. Maybe I’ll make him a new duster thing.

I have used scrap batting for my Swifer for a few years now and just keep a stack of them in and old Swifer container. Grab one when I need to dust any surface.Works well and I don't mind tossing them out when too dust filled or soiled to use any longer Good reminder that it is time to cut more! They work well when polishing silver too. No I don't do it often but the soft batting doesn't scratch the surface.
