I used up a bunch of scraps for quilt- as -you -go placemats. Just cut them into the right size strips and they're ready to use. I suppose you could zigzag them together first if they were too small.

I cut the leftover pieces and use them in rag quilts. I have also used the fusible bonding strips to put pieces together. Works wonderful - especially for wall quilts and table runners. Like everyone else, I have a large amount of leftover pieces I just can't bring myself to toss out. Happy New Year and Happy Quilting!

I keep mine, and it pays off. I had enough scraps that i made a queen size rag quilt for my son SIL for his birthday. Its like free batting. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I had several scraps saved, and they were really handy for pot holders for the kids at Christmas.
You can also hand stitch them together for wall hangings, ect. Mariah. |
I am frugal and keep my batting scraps. I make rag quilts usually out of them, or stuff a pillow.

There is a place here in Asheville, NC that takes your old scraps & uses them to stuff car seats. ABCCM
If you don't live in Asheville, maybe you have a place to donate where you live. |
They make a tape product called "Heat Press" to put batting together. It is a fusable tape that you can join batting. Jeanne Harwood Designs make it 818-723-5228 is their number. I have not used it as of yet, but thought it was worth a try.
