I have a lot of small pieces of batting. What are some things I can make with them. I don't want to sew them together.

How about coasters, rug mats, and potholders?

I bought these at a craft show today. I've gotten past the "I could do that..." Well, depending on the price, and if I can use it as an idea to copy, lol.

Although these were made from felt, I think if the batting is the Warm & Natural, or Warm and White, it would work. Could those be dyed, esp. like a tea-dye to look aged? These are lightly stuffed. Gingerbread man and snowman havepuff paint for eyes, nose & mouth. Mittens came in many colors, including white with a red trim. The snowman is really the color of Warm & Natural, although it looks very white here. They had both, I just preferred this color rather than the more stark white. These are about 3" and could be used as an ornament or a gift-topper. Hmmm, if they were smaller, maybe a pin?

The lady selling them had scads, she uses all of the profits for a fund that sends Christmas trees to the troups overseas. She said the embellishments/buttons are what makes them. It was hard to choose!

My Girl Scout Troop uses anything larger than 3X5 for fabric postcards, we are making them for the Troops overseas as well as nursing homes in our area. Check out links at our Council Quilting/Sewing website - service projects http://sites.google.com/site/sjcisqu...vice-projects. Hope this helps.

I use batting scraps to fluff up my bindings when there isn't enough of the main batting to extend beyond the quilt edges.

Practice new thread, new quilting designs or new decorative stitches for a quilt.
