Warm and natural should be fine!

I live in NC, and I use the warm and natural for everything! It is a great weight here for all year round! Remember, in the summer we have a/c that can chill sometimes.

:) it gets cold and damp here and we are so much more south than NC -- also with AC, we use our quilts year round!!
We need different weights of quilts for different weather

Has anyone ever just a a 100 % cotton material for batting?

People in the south are often more sensitive to cold, so use the same batting you would use for NY. The only quilt I made that was too warm was a denim quilt with flannel backing and polyester batting. It was too heavy and warm for FL, but works fine for a little further north.
