Beaded Stilleto
 

I got some turkey lacers to made these, but they are really sharp. Are the stilletos one buys for quilting so sharp? I don't know if these would be useful, or just decorative. And I think they are too sharp for decorative. Ask me how I know.

My stiletto is pretty sharp. I also use short shish-k-bob skewers and they are pretty sharp, too. Maybe you could get some sandpaper for steel and round the tips a little. I don't know if that would work or not--it might not hold the fabric like you want.

No, my stiletto (which is in a custom turned acrylic handle) is not really sharp. Looks to me like they used a yarn needle. This one works really well for me. Grabs the fabric, but doesn't pierce it.

need to see a pix of what you are talking about...why does a stilletto need beads?

I like the short one with rounded end and blue handle from clover. It's short enough to keep in my hand all he time when I'm sewing, except when I'm using the Singer treadle.

They're pretty. I just use the one that I bought from Clover; looks a lot like my seam ripper.
