I have a friend looking to make a quilt based on the theme from the kids TV show Bear in the Big Blue House.

Try though I may, I have not been able to find ONE fabric item (including clothing!!!) with this theme. I don't know if it ever was produced or not, but I thought if anyone can help me, its my quilt board friends.

Sooo...any ideas?

Applique? Enlarge pictures from the book or coloring book? Some cartoon characters never did make it to fabric or sheet sets... :(

Dan River used to make sheet sets for it, but no longer. I could not find any type of fabric for Bear in BBH.

I agree with the applique thing.
Or , if you do have a story book with the characters in it, you could scan them onto the inkjet fabric and then use them as fussy cuts in a quilt.
I love the two little "weasels" or whatever they are.

There were sheets and definitely clothing made. I thought there were fabric panels made, too, but I could be mis-remembering. My DS10 watched it for awhile when he was about a year old.

Here are some coloring pages:

I think applique would be the easiest route.

Sometimes, you can find the old out of print sheet sets at Ross if you have one.

Good luck.

I saw a bunch of books at the library today with The Bear In the Big Blue House. I wonder if you could take some JPGs from Amazon.com or something and print them onto some fabric paper. Design a block around the picture?
