Does anyone know where you can find free bed runner patterns?

I plan to make a few by adjusting the size of a table runner...some of them are wide enough for a queen, just need to make the blocks bigger! It's on my someday list!

Here's one just in time for Christmas. I just printed this up today myself-

This site gives you a good picture of a bed runner and the measurements based on the mattress size.

You can create something on your own or use a favorite table runner pattern.

Any pattern works, just measure for the size you need and adjust the number of blocks...I make them all the time. I have used the tumbler, friendship star, log cabin, coin.

Earlier this year I was in a hotel for a few days and took sewing with me. It was my wedding ring quilt I was making and placed the section across the base as a bed runner. Looked great. Any pattern for a double/ king/ queen quilt will make a runner. Take about a third or quarter of the pattern and then bind all around etc.

I like bed runners, gives the look of a folded quilt, minus the work involved.

There is a cheap e-book on e-patters too.

Thank you. I was thinking just the same thing

I agree any table runner pattern just made bigger would work. Or if you have a favorite block pattern just repeat that a few times and add a border around it and viola you have your own personalized bed runner.
