They are 4.65 a yard. I have read on this message board that these will be going up after the first of the year and I don't have any yet. I am just starting to collect fabric as I am a pretty new quilter. I was thinking of getting some black and neutral colors. Which colors do you use the most?

I love bella solids. I use cream the most followed by red. I usually go to quiltshops.com and compare who has the best price.

How do they compare to Kona solids?

The brands available here in Germany may be different to the ones you have in US. IMHO the Konas are a little coarser than the Bella Solids and they seem to have a lower thread count. I love the Bellas, they are perfect for hand quilting and doing fine stitches.

Bella solids are definitely softer than the konas and quilt like a dream.

I buy my bella solids by the bolt. FQS sells them $69 for the whole bolt ( 15yds). I like buying this way because then I have basic colors to use how I want. Fewer wasted pieces because I don't have to worry about wasting whatever is at the end of the cut. Right now I have a bolt of White, cream, and gray.
