Gosh, I just saw that yesterday! And since I'm sewing at night, I really need one. The old eyes aren't what they used to be. LOL

They are worth every penny (excuse me dollars). Yes they are a little spend y. But the lighting is so much better than my Janomes light. I don't know how I survived without it.

The only con I have of the light is I need it the most on my machine I take to classes and workshops, the light isn't always great in the class rooms. It's hard to find a free socket for the light when all are needed for machines and irons. Someone told me you can buy the Ott bulb to replace the sewing machine bulb. I need to find one of those.

Maybe I need to get one too!! :D

Shoot you must have gotten the last one. I'll try again later. Hope I don't forget. It sure looks like a great idea. I have Ott lights, but it's hard to get them just where you want them.

Wine Woman,
So where do you put the cylinder? To the right of your machine. Sorry, just can't seem to get a visual in my head. And I had the same reason - Featherweight - getting in my way about buying one.
Thanks,
lots2do

What a great accessory!!! They are sure making the built in lights weaker, aren't they
It is too bad you can't buy several bases to put on the machines and move the light to the one you are currently using :D:D:D

Couldn't you stick a piece of round wood onto the 3M adhesive on this light, and then use the adhesive that is removeable (like the kind on the hooks you use on the wall, that when you stretch it, it comes right off) on the back of the wood piece? That way you can easily remove it for servicing, as well as to use on a different machine.

I also have this light and bought it from the same place as sewnsew2. They also have a mounting bracket that you purchase separately, so that you can take the light and put it on another machine. When I ordered the light, I also got the additional mounting bracket. I have two machines, each in a different room, so I have used the light for both machines.

Amma: They do make a seperate mounting bracket you can purchase. I bought two extras, and just move my light to the machine I want to use. Wonderful light!!
