I'm not sure where this topic would have gone, but it has to do with my quilting. When someone has a good experience with a company if you share that it helps all of us. Several months ago I purchase a Bendable Bright Lights for one of my machines. I can't sew without it. I tried cheaper ones but they just don't have the light this one does. Anyway the stem just wouldn't stay put or bend the way I thought it was supposed to. I made it work and have not regreted it. I bought another yes yesterday(earned points at a LQS) cost me $20 for the other machine and I couldn't believe the difference. I figured they improved the product. I emailed them with my observation and gave them praises for the improvement. They just sent me an email: We need to replace the old light as it should be staying in place. It should not be floppy!!! Just send it back to us:include a copy of this email so we can get you a new one. Don't ever be afraid to ask questions if you don't think it is right. A good company will always take good care of you! I just wanted to share this experience.

On the other hand I learned something about ordering online, I ordered some charms, (ebay) they didn't have a manufacturer name stated. That should have been my cue, they are a very poor quality fabrc. Live and learn.

The Bendable light is great and it makes a world of difference!I think every machine should have one. One drawback for me is having to have the extra plug when I go to classes or workshops. Usually there aren't that many available and too many plugs on a multi plug will cause all kinds of problems.

I love my sewing room inspite of it having 4 windows and a door with window I was still having a lot of trouble seeing after it got late in the day, Especiallly at night. Couldn't tell Black from Navy or Dark green. I saw a Ott light in Lowes for $79.99. I had some money from Last Mothers day from my DD and DH. Decided that would be the perfect thing to buy for my money. It worked Beautifully and still does,I use it for other things besides sewing. I saw the Bendable and almost got it but was unsure whether it would do the job or not. OH WELL I got a nice Mothers Day Pressie out of it any way and I do love the Ott light.

I bought the bendable light and had the same problem. I just taped the bendable stem in place on the machine. I love it. I'm with you. Don't know what I did without it before. :D :D :D :D :D

They said I could sent it in for a new one, but this is working just fine for me. I was constantly bumping it and having to readjust it anyway, so the taping method works out great. Of course if I used something besides green masking tape it might look better, but wouldn't be as colorful. LOL :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

What was the brand of your bendable and where did you find it?

I am new to the group. I was reading about the sale on the Bendable Led Light and somehow got to Quilt-Warehouse.com and they are selling it for $29.95 plus shipping of 7.14 for me. That seems like a bargain too good to pass up so I have my order in already. Rufus2

By all means, you will not regret this purchase. I have many purchases I regret but not this one. I guess the biggest regret purchase I made was a gadget called WonderThread Guide or something like that. Bout pulled my hair out trying to get it to work, never did. It may work on some but it sure didn't work on my Babylocks. I better get back on subject, I'm starting another topic.

I agree with Bill'sBonBon ....I have a huge window in my sewing room, but especially now that the days are getting shorter, it is often dark, or very near dark by the time I get home from work. I have a really bright overhead light, as well as a bendable with my machine...and even then I dont' like to work on dark fabrics in the evenings. A few days ago, we had a very overcast day....lots of black clouds. By about 3:00 we felt like someone should go outside and turn on some lights...except there are none to turn on out most of our windows. (This was at work) LOL One of the gals at work says she is already looking forward to Dec. 22. :?

I believe that I purchased mine at either Clothilde's or Connecting Threads.

Bought it when (whichever) was having a free shipping promotion.

I also purchased "THE SEAM LITE", which is a seam ripper with a lite shining onto your fabric. It is one of the best things I ever bought..the first night I had it, my daughter asked me to open a seam on her blouse..it was a dark purple with dark purple thread.....need I say more? Worked like a dream.

I found a flexible book light at Michaels Arts and Crafts a few years ago. I love it and it was less than $10.00. It works for everything. The neck is long enough that I can clip it to the sewing machine handle and have it shine right on my needle. I use it mostly righ now for Cross Stitch. The clip is large enough that it clamps on my wooden scroll frame. When I am hand quilting, it will clip to my quilting frame. It runs on 3 AAA batteries and I have rechargeable ones in it. It is on for 2 or 3 hours each night and the batteries last for weeks. You can find them on line at http://www.colonialmedical.com/produ...oductid=21413. You can also google flexible book light and find others, but I love this one because the clip is large and the led light is so bright.

I think they are great. My only reservation was putting it on my machine. I didn't want to ruin the finish on my Bernina and I use Featherweights and didn't want to mark up the finish on them either. So I went to my plastics store and bought a tall cube 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 x 6 1/4 and filled it with glass marbles so I move the light from machine to machine. Did everyone attach it to their machine?

WINE WOMAN..I attached mine onto the swing out door and the wire goes across the upper back of the machine through the tiny holders which came with the light.
