Bernina 1006
Does any one know anything about this model?
I did a search - and was not able to find very much. |
I believe that's an old Bernina mechanical model. They are all wonderful workhorses. All of these machines, I believe, have the "Made in Switzerland" stamp somewhere on them (unlike many of the newer Bernina models).
I did find this old thread on the 1006 that may be helpful for you: http://sewing.patternreview.com/Sewi...ns/topic/84597 |

Oh okay. Sorry for the repeats!!
|
Its very much like the bernina 1008. It has a couple of quite nice decorative stitches that are different than the ones on the 1008. Otherwise, i think they're close to identical. The 1006 is a heavy machine (it might be heavier than the 1008) but really, really great. I like that it has a fully adjustable serpentine stitch!

I have a Bernina 1020. What are you looking for?? You might look on eBay for a manual and accessories. They appear for sale ever so often.
|
I bought one for $150 this week - it has one extra presser foot - the zipper foot - and it's missing one of the two spool holders. No manual -
It does work - I did try it before I took it home. It does not seem to be that much different from my old 1962 Bernina 530-2 as far as features and how they function. Except the old one is that greenish color and the 1006 is white. |
The machine(s) I am looking for are Pfaff 1471, 1473, and 1475 from the 1980s.
Was there a 1472 and/or a 1474 model? |
