Bernina 1230

I recently started quilting and am wondering if my Bernina 1230 will do machine quilting. Thank you for any information on this subject.

It may be a little difficult to quilt a king size quilt but the 1230 is a workhorse and should be able to do anything you ask. I've had my 1230 since they first came out and love it. It has never caused a problem. However, make sure you have a walking foot.

I've used my 1090 for quilting. I found that it worked better with a Creative Feet quilting foot. It needed a different shank to attach it to my machine so I got that from Creative Feet too. Quite inexpensive.

My Bernina 1260 has a half speed. If the 1230 has that it will help a lot with stitch control.
