I do not buy generic feet for my Bernina.
The 37 foot came with my machine
and I bought the 57 foot which I love
and use more than the 37. I'd go with
the 57 it's worth the price.
Has any one bought the "stitch-in-the-ditch"
foot and if so how do you like it?

I have #37 and the next time I am at a Bernina store I am going to purchase #57. I live more than an hour in any direction from a Bernina store and don't go to those towns very often.

I have both feet for my Bernina 430. I bought the #57 when I was still fairly new to quilting because I needed the guide for accuracy. Now, however, I find that I can't always see whether the fabric has slid under the guide and don't quite trust it the way I did at first. I bought the #37 recently (can't recall the price, but they're all expensive) and use it more than the #57 now.

I use the 37. I don't think I want to deal with the bar on the 57 (though I think one came with my machine).

Cheers, K

Berninas are the best made machine and feet on the market. You get what you pay for.

This may have changed by now, but it is definitely worth checking on.

Meant to address the reply to your post. Good point!

FYI, I have the #57D, which is specifically made for the new 830 (and 820?), so some variation of the #57 can be used with 9mm machines.

Yup, that's the foot I have. The dual feed is wonderful for piecing.

I think I will get the 37 first. Why not? So many feet and only two hands.

(And oh how I love Corgis!! How adorable. We have a lovely Havanese princess who entertains us every day.)

My Bernina motor froze on me. The cost of replacing it was WAY too high. I just found a #37 in my stuff during the move. It's your if you pay shipping. (I did have a 57, found it annoying.)

The 57 foot.
I had the #37 before they came out with the # 57 with a guide. I would defiently go for the 57. You.
won't be sorry.

With QM offering the #37 foot to the OP for the cost of shipping alone, it'd be pretty much a no brainer in my book. I'd grab that deal in an instant!
