Bernina 770

I have an opportunity to buy a 770 with embroidery for 4,500. Excellent condition ... have received some great feedback before so I’m trying here again. Thanks!

That's a great machine! In our area, the Bernina 770 sells for $9,499 new. The only thing you may want to check, is that it has the latest firmware update. That's a very easy thing a Bernina dealer can do for you. I'd buy it if I could! I sewed 12 layers of denim on a Bernina 770, and it did great.

My friend is a believer in Berninas and gave me her 820 when she replaced it with a 770. She just didn't click with the 820 but loves the 770. She uses a different system (non-Bernina) for embroidery. She felt the 820 was fussy with threads, she does a lot of with fancy threads and materials. I'm doing just fine with the 820 so all is well! I've been sewing on a vintage machine older than I am for the last couple of decades so it is fun for me working with a "sewing computer" from this century.

I bought this machine in May and it's fabulous!!!!!!!!

I opted not to get the embroidery module but if I ever change my mind I can add it. I don't do embroidery work but you never know.

Berninas are pricey but so worth it. I've had one since 2001. My 150 has never been in for any kind of repair.

Other things:
I use any kind of thread. The bobbins are huge, the bells and whistles are amazing.
Classes are offered at no charge but also there are great tutorials online.

Mine cost 4500 without the embroidery so you are getting a great deal!!!!

I have a 'new-to-me', gently-used 770QEE that I bought in June and think it's an amazing sewing machine - I'm so glad that I bought it! If you're an active quilter, embroiderer, sewist (is that a word?) you will l.o.v.e. this machine and I think it's well worth $4,500.

This is my 1st Bernina and I've invested a fair amount of time watching videos and going through the manual as this machine is packed full of features that you must learn in order to enjoy using it. I also purchased the Big Book of Feet which has been very helpful, too! Next will be the Bernina Embroidery Book.

I've owned several other brands and am most pleased with the Bernina quality and performance.

Good luck in your decision!

I have had my 770 for two years and have never regretted the investment...it is a workhorse. I think the price is very reasonable especially with the embroidery module.
