Bernina Machines
I have seen on this list a couple of times question about taking Machine to another country , My understanding for a Bernina machine to work (from Australia in America) (from England in America) all you have to do is purchase a new figure eight cord with your appropriate power point on and the machine will work , they have been like this for the past tens years or so . You do not need a power converter . Cathy

I will find out the answer for you from where to where exactly please?

Even a dual voltage machine will usually have a switch that you have to flip to change it over. Changing the cord only makes it possible to plug something in, but it doesn't prevent the machine from burning out if used at the wrong voltage. Not all Bernina sewing machines are dual voltage. Check with Bernina for your specific machine. I burned out a hair dryer using it without a transformer and almost scared myself silly at the same time, so be very careful with your sewing machine.

Hi found the answer friend says
Your Bernina is dual voltage so you can use it anywhere in the world!! one of the reasons I chose Bernina in the first place... This person knows because of all the countries she has lived in and quilted in using her bernina. |
I think I'd still check directly with Bernina, just to be sure. It never hurts to doublecheck.

There are definitely Bernina models that do not have dual voltage. Check with Bernina!
