Bernina mid-arm machine

Does anyone know if Bernina makes a machine with an 11" arm, or something between the normal 7" and a long-arm?

Thanks, Carolynn

I have been looking for that myself! I'm looking at sewing/quilting machines, but these have models to embroider also. Here is what I've found:
Bernina 710, BabyLock Crescendo, Brother DreamWeaver (V series) and the Pfaff Performance 5.0 (which I think has the "smallest" of these four.
The link QuiltnNan provided sends you to Bernina, but shows the 820 which is way more expensive. If you're looking for ability to embroider also, they have a 750QE and a 780E which are less expensive than the 820. Just depends on what you're looking for.
But they all have a nice bigger throat space.
I'm trying to decide if I can justify the expense to myself! I have narrowed my choice, now do I jump in?
Good luck to you!

Thanks Nancy. The price tag was a bit more than I expected. I am researching this for a friend. I bought the Janome Horizon last year and it is half of the price of the Bernina. I have a Bernina sewing machine so I expected the newer models to be a bit more, but not that much more. Again, thanks.

The price tag was a bit of a shocker, but I think you have to expect that from Bernina. I have the Janome Horizon and I like it for quilting, but I still do all my piecing on the Bernina.
I don't think I could justify $8,000 for a machine, but my Janome was only $3,500 with the table and accessories. I have been happy with it. My sister bought an Elna last year (make by the Janome manufactures) and she likes it very much. It was $2,700 with out a table.

Happy sewing!
