Bernina vintage 830 vs. 93o -- difference?

Can anyone tell me the difference between the vintage Bernie 830 and the 930?
Have a friend in TX who wants to offer for a 930 if it's good for home dec and clothing, not "big" stuff. I only know the 830 model. Is the 930 larger/ heavy duty? Is $900 over-priced - has all accessories?

Thanks for a quick response,

I have a 930 but not real familiar with the 830, I think the 930 has more electronic features like taping the foot control for needle down, but not sure. I do know that just the fact that you are able to find a 930 for sale is a good deal. People are not parting with it. My Bernina dealer says that they are only going up in value, and they are the best machine that Bernina ever put out. I paid $1,000 for my 930 twenty five years ago. I have seen them for over
1,000 on e bay. I have never had it in the shop for problems in all those years.

Thank you, Suzie, I do love these vintage Bernies!! They take a licking and keep on ticking just like the watches, don't they!

I'll give my friend a heads up to consider seriously buying it.
