Yes, I think it is definitely worth the price. I have one for my two Berninas.

Cheers, K

I broke my Bernina by being too lazy to put on my walking foot. Cost to fix? Hundreds. Have I fixed it yet? Nope! Don't have extra hundreds. Sewing on a marvelous Singer 301 that a friend gave me.

My Bernina charges $160 for walking foot. Expensive attachments. Main reason when I was shopping for a new machine I didnt go back to Bernina. Lots of wonderful machines out there.

I bought a walking foot on ebay for my Bernina 1530, about $70.00. It works okay, but I think I would have been better off to buy one made by Bernina.

even though I do not have a Bernina, I have a walking foot for all my machines. I would not be without one. They are invaluable to me.

I have a Bernina and the Walking Foot. I love it! Use the bars for Grid quilting. all you have to mark is the first line, then just sew.

I posted a few weeks ago asking about the walking foot that came with my new Janome that my mom bought me. I had never used one and was a bit confused. After some help from the generously kind folks on this board I am now addicted to using that foot. For me it has made a world of difference with alignment and precision. I am fairly new to quilting so everything fascinates me still but I rank the walking foot pretty high up the wow scale.

I use my walking foot all the time - when ever I have two pieces of fabric that I am stitching together. The walking foot keeps the two pieces lined up perfectly. And the newer walking feet from Bernina come with a "blade" in the center that makes "stitch-in-the-ditch" a breeze. Definitely one of those "I can't do without it" tools.

I spent more on my Bernina walking foot than I did on my previous machine. Kind of a had a panic attack over it. It was definetly worth it. It is as smooth as butter. I love it!
