Bernini 750 info?
 

Do you have one and how do you like it?

I don't have the 750 but have the 830 but they are simular. I heard that that there are some issues with some of them like the 830. The adjustable length and width knobs can play up (mine did and needed a new board behind them) also the straight stitch, when u move the needle over and sew the stitches can be wonky. But I know of someone that has one with the embroider unit and its fine. u need to buy special bobbins they not usual ones and not sure if the feet are more to buy as my 830 feet are !! Just give it a test drive and see what u think .

My mom has one and loves it, I have used it and it is a really nice machine.

I have a Bernina 1530 and I LOVE IT!!

This will probably be my next new machine if my Bernina 1260 ever wears out.

:thumbup:I have had a Bernina 155 for about 10 years. My sweet husband bought me a 750 QE for an early Christmas present. I was afraid that I would not be able to part from my old friend 155 but the new 750 has been wonderful! I am still learning to use all of the features but I am so happy with my new machine! I love the dual feed and the BSR. My 155 will go to my sewing room in our beach house. I could never part with her!

I just bought a 750QE (Super Bowl weekend) and now they are coming out with a new 7 series line. They will be the 740, 770, and 790. I joined the Yahoo group for owners of the 7 series and people talk a lot about problems they are having with their machines. Many say the stitches are wonky. I started really looking at the stitches on my latest project and they are off a bit. It's not a huge, big deal, but it's not perfect. I expected perfection from Bernina. I'm pretty upset that my dealer didn't mention that a new machine was coming out. I would wait and try out both the 750 and the 770 and see which one fits you best. That is if they are going to still carry the old 7 series. You might be able to get a really good deal on a 750.

All that being said, I have made one baby quilt on my 750 and it was so much nicer to sew with than my old Viking Lily. I love the built in walking foot, thread cutter, and auto needle threader (since I now can't see the eye very well). The stitches are very strong but still easy to rip out mistakes, something that I do a lot of. One of the best things is the large harp space. The leg lift is hard to get use to and I had a sore thigh muscle for about a week, haha, but now I love it.

For now I can only dream of having a Bernina, but I have seen quite a few 750's for sale on Craigslist. Makes you wonder.

After doing some test sewing at the Bernina dealer yesterday the Bernina 380 and 350PE are the ones I like the best.
