Besides McKenna and Toni
I was just wondering who else makes the beautiful and adorable picture quilts besides McKenna Ryan and Toni Whitney. Do you know of any others? I LOVE looking at the pictures of the kits even if I will never do all of them.

I like this persons patterns, I have the witch one and the snowman, haven't done them or gotten the kit yet but they are nice patterns |
I like Marcia Layton's fun wall hangings.

I love these quilts but wonder do you just fuse the fabrics on .. so many jagged edges on the appliques how would you actually applique around these items? this is what gets me wondering.. it would be terrifically hard to do that I think.. and I am not sure I would like to spend that much money for just a fused quilt... afraid to wash it because its not appliqued down all over.

Yes you have to stitch it down, unless you are framing or under glass. :)
I have one in progress.. for a year now...and the parts not stitched are starting to curl up even though they are fused. And putting heat to them loosens the visible web, so a dryer would cause everything to lift. |
I like Pecks Pieces, so really great quilts there and just love them to pieces.

These quilts are so attractive. I remember seeing a pattern of cute dolphins in the water in the mid 90s but never tried this technique due to the tiny cuttings of the fabric adhering to the background fabric of the quilt.
