I agree on using Quilter's Dream for my quilting.

Having used Warm and Natural cotton and then trying wool batting, I totally agree with Prism99.
I will save up for wool battings. It has made a huge difference in the drag on my hands.

Is Quilters Dream the best cotton batting for hand sewing, then? It also needs to be reasonably robust, for a bed or sofa quilt.
I can't use wool, annoyingly, because we have a serious moth problem and it will disappear in months! My felt projects have all turned into powder.
I'm prepared to go with polyester, but am most temped by cotton because I'd like a more medium temperature quilt rather than a warm-and-then-warmer one, and it's possibly more environmentally friendly (at least if unbleached). I've uses two types of polyester before, one was horrid, all stiff and crispy, and one was nice and fluffy.

Hobbs Wool is my favorite for hand quilting. It is so smooth and just needles beautifully

since Connecting Threads has the 30% discount right now on bat, I vote for the Tuscany Cotton Supreme. It's thicker, and super soft and does not have a scrim--it's thicker than most cotton bat, but just yummy--and that30% discount makes it doable.

I've gathered. However, moths have destroyed several of my craft projects and clothes in the past, however vigilant I am, so I simply can't face using wool again. Especially as the quilt is a present and the moths are on the wing at the moment, so it would be awful if I spread the infestation to someone else's house.

I haven't hand quilted, but I love Quilter's Dream Request. I got a great price on a couple of queen size batts at Hancock's of Paducah.

I always use Warm and Natural. I have loved it for years. I am allergic to wool, so I stay with my W&N.
