I want to make a quilt using a lot of black fabric. The quilt will get a lot of wear. I am looking for a high quality solid black. What's the best to use? Kona? Moda? Something else? I want something that is high quality and will retain its color.
Thanks for your help! |
I like to use Kona black fabric :D:D:D

Kona Black - the Jet Black.

I buy my black solids from Marshall Dry Goods or the Gohn Brothers (an Amish shop)

Moda black is the only black I will use. Their is a solid black and then there is a marble black. I have used both and have had no problems with bleeding with either one.

I like Moda black and think it is better quality than Kona IMHO. As mentioned, be sure to buy enough to make sure you have the same dye lot. Might check into buying a bolt to see if you can get a better price per yard.
