You can go to a UPS shipping store and they can tell you price for ups verses the post office.
Good Luck! |
If you decide to go USPS, make sure to go to an actual post office. I went to PostNet to mail a quilt and he said $17 (after I had checked the postage online - $7). I asked why, and he just kinda shrugged. I said no thanks, since I had mailed a quilt a year ago and I know it wasn't that much. I went up the street to USPS, $7. And I mentioned that to her, and she said that's all overhead. I never even thought they would add overhead, and $10?! So, point being, if it's USPS, go to a USPS location.

I could be wrong, but I think there are zones that can affect the shipping rates. I had my 2 in a box about the size of flat rate, wrapped in brown paper and it was 3 or 4 dollars more than flat rate (IN to PA).
